When Caary approached us, the Transactions module—where staff review, filter, and verify transactions was dense, visually inconsistent, and slow to navigate.

They wanted us to redesign the UI to make transaction review faster, clearer, and visually aligned with Caary’s refreshed brand guidelines.

The Obstacles We Faced


  • Cluttered tables: Overloaded rows and inconsistent spacing made scanning difficult.

  • Hidden filters: Date, amount, and receipt filters were buried, causing repetitive clicks.

  • Weak hierarchy: Primary information (status, amount) was visually equal to secondary details.

  • Inconsistent visuals: Typography, iconography, and colors lacked a unified system.

Design Process

Audit & Wireframes


  • Conducted a UI audit of the existing Transactions screens.

  • Sketched low-fidelity wireframes exploring table density and filter layouts.

  • Collaborated with the dev team to confirm feasible component structures.

High-Fidelity Mockups


  • Built responsive screens using a 12-column grid with an 8-pt spacing system.

  • Created a design token set (color, typography, spacing) to ensure consistency.
